Handwoven backpack made 100% by hand, using virgin sheep wool, embellished with multi-colored seed beads; crafted by artisans from the Kankuama indigenous community located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia.
Each backpack holds in its weavings, colors, and shapes the thoughts and traditions of this indigenous people, the guardians of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It is a symbol of the mindset and feelings of Kankuama women; the design of each backpack represents their strength, perseverance, and resilience.
