Kankuama Embellished Backpack

Handwoven backpack, 100% handmade, made from virgin sheep wool and embellished with multicolored beads; crafted by artisans from the Kankuama indigenous community located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia.

Each backpack carries within its fibers, colors, and shapes the thoughts and traditions of this indigenous people, protectors of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It is the symbol of the mindset and feelings of Kankuama women; in the design of each backpack, they represent their strength, perseverance, and resilience.
